What is the ALTUM Telescopic Pole system?
The ALTUM is a patented carbon telescopic pole designed to elevate inspection payloads to significant heights. Operators can efficiently reach heights of 20 meters, allowing a single technician to perform advanced inspections safely from the ground.
How does the B-Scan module work for material testing?
While it performs UTM, the B-Scan module specializes in comprehensive mapping. It continuously collects individual UTM measurement points (A-scans) and compiles them to generate a complete line or grid profile (a B-scan). This provides a detailed, wide-area view of material thickness and corrosion.
How does the ALTUM system improve safety and reduce costs?
By utilizing the ALTUM pole, operators eliminate the need for expensive, time-consuming height constructions like scaffolding. This approach significantly reduces the risk of occupational accidents while vastly decreasing project setup times.
What is the advantage of using the Crawler module?

Do all ALTUM modules perform Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM)?
No, there is one exception. The Crawler, B-Scan, and Light modules are all fully equipped to perform UTM. The only module that does not perform UTM is the Visual module, which is dedicated entirely to high-resolution photographic assessment.
Is the Light module heavy to operate at full extension?
Not at all. The Light module is designed to be ultra-lightweight, weighing only 400 grams (excluding the pole). Despite its light footprint, it utilizes powerful LEDs to thoroughly illuminate dark or enclosed environments, such as the inside of storage tanks.
